Thought I would show a couple of cards I made for Christmas this year.  Will show more this week.  Baked 6 special bundt cakes, 3 eggnog pound cakes and 6 loaves of pumpkin-cranberry and eggnog and a soft chocolate chip cookie bar. Made cards in between, but was fun.  Got everything mailed out this weekend. Only a few gift cards to get this week.  Meeting with friends after Christmas when all the hustle and bustle is done.  Hope everyone likes the cards I made and sent.  Here are the cards:

Rainy snowy day today.  Made some pizelles.  King Arthur flour has a great recipe for them.  Made about 60 of them, will send some to mom and some to my aunt Velma.  Got my mom a Gemini Junioe die cutting machine and she loves it.  No more cranking her Sizzix machine but she will still use the sizzix sometimes too.  I have the big Gemini and love it.  Cuts 110lb cardstock like butter, really does a great job and their customer service cannot be beat.  A great investment in the long run.  I did not get paid to say that by the way!  hahaha!

Wanted to show what my swap partner Melanie sent me from Hawaii. We participate in a swap with a great bunch of gals stat was started by Fran at littlepaperstudio.  I could not believe what Melanie sent, such a great surprise and a very beautiful card!

Posting again, will try and do this every week from now on.  Got some good news, my brother is treating me,my husband, my sister and brother in law to a trip to Germany next spring.  He says it is for our anniversaries. Celebrated my 40th in August.  He is a great brother!  Have been making cards for a couple of swaps with Fran and Kathy in Hawaii.  Got a fantastic package yesterday from Melanie in Hawaii.  Am gonna take a picture of it tomorrow and try and post it .  Hope I remember how! 

Here is a picture I took in Florida In June when my sister and I went down when our mother was very ill.  We saw a rainbow almost everyday, we think it was a sign.  She is doing great now. Well have to help finish baking peanut butter cookies for hubby.

british music night

what a great night on TCM  right now singing along with the Beatles in a Hards Days Night and then 2 Dave Clark 5 movies  and then 2 Herman's Hermits movies!!!!  The films were kind of cheesy but the music is worth it!  How many groups out today will the people be able to sing the words to their songs almost 40  some years later, not to many. Not showing my age too bad now am I  hahahahaha

Lost a bunch of pictures from my last swap from a swap for all seasons I wanted to post.  Will be posting what Jan sent me however as they are on a new card.  Here are a couple if videos took today of the ponds in our backyard.  My husband has worked really hard on them and we really love them.  Will be posting more tomorrow as supposed to be stormy and rainy all day.  Hope you like these.

Early Cards

I found some pictures of some early cards I have made.  I really liked Flower Soft and in fact the picture of the wagon is on the Flower Soft web site gallery , of course it was a few years ago when the product first came out.  Thought I would post them here. My style was changing to a more vintage style which is my favorite!  The last picture is a reminder of last spring and hopefully our house will look like that again this spring, winter has been here long enough.
